@abosede Since those early days, Bitcoin and altcoins have grown massively both in value and reach with the Cryptocurrency market cap exceeds $2 Trillion.
Today, there are more than 6,080 varieties of cryptocurrencies in the virtual world, and there are Tokens, initial coin offerings ( ICOs) launched every day. Aside from Bitcoin, hundreds of cryptocurrencies are now based on the blockchain concept. Some are similar; others are trying to do things in very different ways.
Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bantu XBN… are now being used as investments and in more mainstream transactions. As major banks keep close watch, these currencies are gaining ground, with all signs pointing towards expansion in use and accessibilty.
Cryptocurrencies are here to stay, and they will continue to be used for payment of goods & services, give high returns on investiments, a strong contender for money laundering …
