Hello Bantu!

It has been quite a busy month for us as we keep working with our partners and developer community to improve our network and keep churning out solutions that will expand the ecosystem and increase adoption. We thank you for the support that you have given this project either from inception or from the moment you joined the movement. We are confident that with the relentless support of our community as-well-as the dedication of our team, Bantu will become one of the most impactful projects in the blockchain space in the near future.

There are a few important announcements for you, our stakeholders, as we wrap up May 2021 and head into the third phase of Q2, 2021.

Mitambo — A competitive game that is played using XBN tokens

Since Mitambo was launched by some members of our developer community on 1st May 2021, there have been 127 winners, 765 entries made into the different arenas, and over 18k XBN utility tokens distributed to the lucky winners. Mitambo continues to grow in momentum and community even as more arenas are being added to the game based on popular demand of our active players.

Community Expansion

We have seen our Telegram Community grow to over 28k users just as growth has been recorded across all our other platforms such as BantuTalk, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. We believe that as more solutions are built on Bantu and as we begin to gain more visibility, we will see more explosive growth that will lead to having a Bantu Ecosystem that everyone can be proud to be a part of.

Bittrex Global Listing Delay

On April 2nd, 2021 Bittrex Global announced that they would soon be listing the XBN utility token. However as you are all aware, we have experienced some significant delays in the listing of the Bantu Utility Token (XBN) on the Bittrex Global Exchange platform. The Bantu Blockchain Foundation is still committed to listing the XBN utility token and is currently pursuing alternative options to help bring the XBN utility token out to the public markets. But first we would like to share some key reasons for the Bittrex Global listing delays:

  1. The Bittrex Global Team has informed us of “Internal Reviews” which have been ongoing for a while. Once this is completed, the Bantu Community will be updated with an actual listing date.
  2. The Bittrex Global Technical team underestimated the integration process of the Bantu native Blockchain in relation to the workload they currently have in-house.

XBN to list on more exchanges

We want YOU — our community — to know that we have paid attention to your feedback and heard your complaints on restrictions (for some countries) and difficulties faced while registering on Bittrex. We appreciate the need for you to be able to acquire XBN utility tokens via other avenues with very limited barriers. We have therefore commenced talks with a number of other exchanges, some of which you ask for. As discussions unfold and mature, we will share more information about our progress with these exchanges.

P2P Marketplace for Bantu tokens in view — June 2021

As discussions with Bittrex Global and the other exchanges continue to mature, we are pleased to announce that one of our developer community groups is already building a P2P marketplace where tokens in the Bantu ecosystem can be traded from anywhere in the world in a real-time and peer to peer manner, hence further removing any typical barriers associated with centralised marketplaces. We like what we have seen so far, and we hope that you will be as excited as we are (if not more) when this P2P marketplace goes live by late June 2021

A Decentralised Exchange (DEX) for Bantu in the pipeline

After the launch of the P2P marketplace, work will continue to integrate a full blown Decentralised Exchange (DEX) user interface where anyone will be able to swap tokens on Bantu Blockchain with wrapped tokens of other blockchains, while taking advantage of our low network fees and incredible speeds. This is exciting news and we cannot wait to see what our developer community has in store for us once the P2P marketplace has been launched.

A user-friendly Token Creator Service

We know that issuing or creating a custom token on any blockchain can be a daunting task especially for non-technical users. For this reason, the Bantu Blockchain engineering team has been busy building a service that will remove the technical barriers associated with issuing a token on the Bantu Blockchain.

The Bantu Blockchain is designed to allow any form of value to be created and distributed on the network by anyone. To fully deliver on our mission to empower YOU, issuing a token on the Bantu Blockchain needs to be dummy-proof and that is what our Token Creator does.

The Bantu Token Creator allows you to create your token on the Bantu Testnet or Mainnet by entering basic information into a form and submitting and your token is instantly created.

We look forward to all the different types of tokens that you will be creating on the Bantu Blockchain.

Institutional Adoption

A few major financial institutions in Africa have been exploring the Bantu Blockchain. We understand that their commercial solutions — which we expect to bring more traffic and adoption to the Bantu Blockchain — are currently being tested and should be ready in the coming weeks and months. More details will be shared as we continue to receive updates.

Conclusion

And there you have it. Thank you for reading thus far and thanks for your patience and kind support.
